William Santiago is a pioneering Spanish-language broadcaster, media entrepreneur, and community leader whose career spans nearly four decades. He is the founder of the long-running radio program Dimensión Latina, which has played an important role in promoting Latin music and culture throughout Rochester, New York.
In 1996, William founded MIRadio.com, expanding his commitment to serving the Latino community through digital media. In 2017, he made Rochester broadcasting history by founding and launching La Mega 97.5 FM, the first commercial Spanish-language radio station in Rochester. He continues to serve as the station’s Program Director and as an on-air personality.
William’s television career includes more than 25 years with Rochester’s Cable Channel 17, where Telemundo programming aired locally. As President of UNO Communications, Inc., he has also helped local businesses connect with Rochester’s growing Latino community through Spanish-language media and advertising.
For 23 years, William served as master of ceremonies for the Rochester Puerto Rican Festival, becoming a familiar voice at one of the community’s most important cultural celebrations.
